This is an 8-month temporary placement opportunity. Reporting to the Carrier Services Provisioning Manager, this position is responsible for the quality control, troubleshooting, and service as it relates to Local Number Porting.

What We're Looking For:

  • High school completion is required while post-secondary education is preferred
  • Good working knowledge of ACSR, SMP and BWOS is preferred
  • Knowledge of telephone products and policies is an asset
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel
  • Knowledge of CRTC CLOG guidelines and industry standards is an asset

What You Can Expect to be Working On:

  • Record Keeping and Order Entry
  • Accurately track and record all orders completed on a daily basis
  • Validate all Port orders to facilitate the LNP process
  • Ensure compliance with telecommunications regulations on Porting as stated in the CLOG
  • Using system applications (e.g., ACSR, SMP, BWOS, LNPA, NPAC, DMS and Microsoft Office) as they apply to manage the various Coordinator duties.
  • Answer inquiries regarding work orders or telephone number information
  • Update internal groups when changes are being made that effect how they conduct business
  • Assist the various Sales groups (Business and Residential) to ensure a smooth and orderly flow of work orders
  • Liaise with representatives of related or connecting companies to promote positive relations
  • Work on projects as they may arise from internal groups and external partners
  • Trouble shoot any problems that are associated with the provisioning of telephone services
  • Work with external partners when customer impacting issues arise
  • Verify quality of work orders as they are processed from various application queues
  • Identify process/training/procedural issues with internal and external groups and system applications to improve the telephone services that we offer our customers
  • Investigate errors related to incorrect work orders for customers as they are brought forward
  • Perform audits of records to verify accuracy of information in our database and those being sent to external groups
