We are currently seeking applicants for the position of SHOP FOREMAN to join our dynamic team in Saint John, New Brunswick.
Qualifications:
- Experience in heavy equipment industry or truck and trailer experience would be considered an asset
- Previous supervisory experience and mechanical knowledge are essential
- Computer Skills in Microsoft Office and JD Edwards are considered an asset
- Applicants should possess the ability to prioritize tasks to consistently meet deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills
- Experience working with DEM Warranty process
- Demonstrated ability to energize empower and engage team to get results
- Exceptional communication skills, problem solving, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Must be team oriented and an independent self-starter
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordination of work (i.e. ensure parts are available, stock or non-stock, special tools and equipment, contractors, etc.)
- Commitment to top performance and safety policies and regulations
- Supervision of mechanics in a garage/field setting
- Hands on trouble shooting & observation of equipment performance
- Expedite parts and materials
- Request item creation for new parts
- Providing excellent customer service
- Preparing and submitting daily and weekly reports
- Set priorities, allocates tasks, and coordinate employees to meet targets and milestones
- Work closely with shop scheduler on work distribution for the maintenance shop
