The systems administrator and technical support ensures the proper functioning of computer systems, taking into account the needs of users.
The person will assist in the maintenance of equipment with special attention to the computer security of the entire company (access authorizations, protections, etc.).
In addition, this position will work as part of a team to provide level 2 technical support for all users of employee computer systems. This person will participate in the maintenance and development of technology as well as technical troubleshooting with users of operating systems, office software and tools, client server systems and related equipment to ensure consistent productivity.
- Analyzes the demand and offers support for all requests concerning computer equipment such as the computer itself, monitors, printers, and any other electronic equipment that the user uses.
- Participates in the installation, maintenance and support of client-server application software for users of the head office.
- If needed, provide second level technical support to our external brokers by phone and using TeamViewer software.
- Bilingual - French and English - oral and written is required
- Post-secondary degree and experience in the field
- Advanced knowledge of Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office software suite, specifically Word, Excel, Outlook and Sharepoint.
- Good knowledge of network principles and communications links
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills to be able to respond to client requests or problems.
- Physical effort: Must be able to lift heavy computer equipment and crawl under desks to plug in - unplug equipment
