Job Position: Instrumentation Engineer
Type: Permanent Full Time
Position Location: Terrace Bay, ON Ontario.
Role Overview:
The position shall report to E&I Superintendent. The successful candidate shall be responsible to develop knowledge and skills to be recognized for expertise and leadership in applying engineering principles and developing measurement systems where none exist. Focusing on the reduction of maintenance rework and/while measuring and quantifying improvements. Developing and writing standard operating procedures (SOP) for instrumentation automation tasks.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Leading the Mill wide modernization projects on Instrumentation and Automation systems;
- Leading the Instrumentation and control systems in from design to construction through commissioning during the project implementation;
- Ensuring the project installation, engineering and design are well executed, and projects are delivered according to agreed timelines and cost limit;
- Coordinating internal and external resources associated with the delivery of assigned projects;
- Managing project budget allocation for assigned projects;
- Coordinating all procurement activity associated with the delivery of assigned projects;
- Monitoring progress of the project to ensure milestones and key performance Indicators are met;
Ensuring that project lifecycle comply with the relevant procedures, standards and regulations
Qualifications:
Education: Engineering degree in Instrumentation; Master’s degree would be an advantage.
Experience: Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 10 years specialised experience in power generation, power distribution, switch gears, variable frequency drives power control center, motors, & maintenance thereof.
High level of integrity and conviction.
Flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities.
Language requirement: English.
