JOB DESCRIPTION: SALES AMBASSADOR
Summary: Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Sales Ambassador is responsible for representing the Propeller Brewing Company at off-site product samplings, events, and field sales.
Responsibilities
- Execute off-site activations at events/festivals throughout the Maritimes
- Secure and transport beer to and from event sites
- Set up, break down, and clean pouring stations at event sites
- Safely and efficiently engage with consumers, verifying legal drinking age & distributing sample product
- Educate consumers on Propeller product lines, brand history, and values
- Ensure the proper maintenance and storage of promotional items
- Conduct staff and customer tastings at provincial liquor stores, private stores, and licensees
- Respond to requests for information and/or service from licensees; provide marketing/POS materials
- Maintain fluid relations with current customers; generate new sales within bars and restaurants; solve customer complaints or issues
- Completion of weekly call report including post analysis of events, tastings, and sales visits
- Other duties as required
Requirements/Technical Competencies
- Must be 19+ years of age
- Must be willing to travel throughout Nova Scotia and other parts of the Maritimes
- Maintain a flexible schedule; work evenings and weekends as required
- Craft beer enthusiast
- Successful sales experience (preferably in beer/wine/spirits)
- Strong communication, inter-personal & customer service skills
- Basic level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Valid NS Drivers' License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Knowledge of craft beer and NS craft beer industry/competitors
- Knowledge of draught systems considered an asset but not required
- Physically able to occasionally handle product/merchandise, up to and including 140lb kegs of beer
