Responsibilities & Outcomes:
- Provide leadership and guidance to their ILS team to advance the Business/Organizational and Functional/Technical competencies of the team while maintaining a cohesive group
- Manage staff growth and development through Checkin process, coaching, mentoring
- Day to day ILS department and staff administrative management such as time sheet approvals, vacation approvals, expense claims, etc.
- Provide technical guidance to the team to ensure production of assigned work occurs in an efficient manner
- Manage first level Employee Relations issues and concerns
- Support ILS Manager on departmental duties
Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture, Marine Systems Design, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial)
- Project Management an asset (PMP, CAPM)
- Professional Certification an asset (CPL, CRE, CMRP)
- 5 years of ILS Engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience and/or aptitude and passion for leading and developing people is required
- Expertise and experience in a wide variety of ILS project environments is considered an asset
- All successful applicants must meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance
