Property Attendant - Halifax & Dartmouth Waterfront

About Build Nova Scotia
Build Nova Scotia is the Province's Crown Corporation responsible for leading sustainable development of high-potential property and infrastructure across our province to drive economic and population growth. In short, we build things-and how we build them matters as much as what we build. We engage Nova Scotia's diverse communities to lead and support projects that create inclusive, sustainable places that people love. We leverage our projects and programs as tools to bring people together in pursuit of keeping Nova Scotians healthy, connected, and thriving no matter where they live. A thriving community is a powerful thing, and we're doing our part to help communities reach their full potential by stewarding projects that enhance quality of life and community well-being, build local pride and momentum, and grow our economy.

Once developed, Build Nova Scotia operates and maintains select properties, like the Halifax waterfront, attracting millions of people to come spend time with us every year. Of course, with four kilometers of waterfront and over 3,000 feet of floating docks in Halifax alone, we need the help of an exceptional seasonal team. Build Nova Scotia invites applications for the term position of Property Attendant based primarily on the Halifax waterfront. The successful candidates will join a forward thinking, creative team with a true passion for all they do.

Build Nova Scotia is actively working to be deliberate in how we engage communities in our work to ensure all voices are at the table-especially those who traditionally haven't been there before. We're also working to build a diverse team that reflects our communities at all job levels. Build Nova Scotia's values are deeply rooted in diversity, equity, inclusion, and reconciliation and we encourage applications from Indigenous persons, African Nova Scotians, people of colour, people with disabilities, and women in occupations or positions where they are underrepresented. Members of these groups are welcome to self-identify through their application materials if they wish.

Property Attendants will report any potential maintenance or safety issues to the waterfront's maintenance team.
