SIMULATION ANALYST
The JDI IT is looking for a Simulation Analyst that will be responsible for defining, building and implementing simulation models with the objective of identifying opportunities to optimize complex supply chain and operational systems.
This is an amazing opportunity for a creative and curious technical professional to deliver game changing impact across the JDI group of companies. This role will form part of the foundation of a growing Simulation Center of Excellence being established in JDI IT Analytics.

Your Focus:

• Engage our businesses to clearly and fully understand and define the business problem(s) to be solved
  
• Identify the correct analytical approach(es)
  
• Translate these needs to a clear model scope, KPIs and conceptual structure
  
• Clearly define critical relationships in the simulation framework and associated data needs
  
• Build the simulation model using industry leading products and/or in house developed solutions
  

• Drive change management, education and adoption of the simulation approach in our businesses to ensure impact
  
• Actively seek out and initiate opportunities to improve existing simulation models or launch new models
  
• Educate stakeholders on best practices and proper use of analytics to help make informed decisions
  
• Ensure that the priority needs of the team, our people and our customers, are being served to the best of our ability
  
• Provide coaching and mentoring to our team and colleagues in areas of expertise
  

You Have:

• Degree in engineering, mathematics, or related technical discipline (Industrial focus preferred)
  
• 3 years of industry experience in a data science or analytics role, or in the use of data to optimize supply chain or operational processes
  
• Some experience in programming, especially with data science and visualization libraries in Python
  
• Knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing business terms and principles
  

• Strong oral and written communication skills, and ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional partners
  
• Experience in complex technology environments
  
• Nice to have: Experience with Agile and UI/UX best practices
  
• Nice to have: Proficiency with Supply Chain Planning systems and/or simulation software
  
• Understanding of Reporting and Data Warehouse solutions and implementations
  

• Familiar with common database systems and structures
  
• Strong organization and planning skills
