About AV Group NB Inc

AV Group NB, Inc is a member of the pulp and fibre business of the Aditya Birla Group and consists of two dissolving-pulp manufacturing mills located in New Brunswick, Canada: the Atholville Mill and the Nackawic Mill.

Our Vision: The Relentless Pursuit of Excellence in People, Process and Product.
Our Mission: Supporting the success of our pulp and fibre business by being a low cost, quality supplier of dissolving grade pulp.
Our Values: We believe in integrity, respect, honesty and fairness to foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration and continuous improvement.

The Atholville Mill., a Specialty Cellulose Pulp facillity, is located in Atholville, New Brunswick and is situated on the banks of the Restigouche River near the City of Campbellton. It was originally incorporated as AV Cell Inc. on January 7th, 1998 by the Aditya Birla Group and the mill reopened on February 20th with operations starting in May 1998. AV Group Inc, Atholville Mill draws its name from the initials of the late Mr. Aditya Vikram Birla, (AV) Father of the present chairman of the Adiyta Birla Group of India, Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, and Cellulose (Cell), the main product manufactured at the mill.

AV Group NB Inc., Nackawic is located along the beautiful St. John River valley which has access to the hardwood forests of New Brunswick, Canada. Aditya Birla purchased the 36 year old facility in 2005 with the vision of converting it from a paper grade Kraft mill to a modern Prehydrolysis Kraft mill producing Dissolving Grade Pulp. Like the sister mill in Atholville, the initials AV originate from the late Mr. Aditya Vikram Birla.
