Job Description
What you can expect in a typical day :
A s a summer student with Irving Oil you will have an opportunity to learn in a collaborative environment with one of Canada's Top 100 employers! In this role you will work on the Accounts Payable tea m and will have an opportunity to learn the Procure to Pay ("P2P") process es .While the daily tasks focus on invoice processing/matching to Purchase Orders, review, analysis and resolution, this role works with Supply Management, Tax and Accounting to complete the P2P cycle.
Working in Invoice Processing provides as opportunity to work in a finance role that demonstrates the flow of data from transaction to general ledger. This position also provides an opportunity to increase Excel and analysis skills to review, reconcile and resolve outstanding invoice issues.

  • Strong organizational skills
  • Excellent p roblem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills , both written and verbal
  • Self-motivated ; ability to work independently
  • Excellent collaboration skills with the a bility to work within a team environment

Professional Skills:
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Experience with Excel is an asset

Education and e xperience:
  • Currently enrolled in a Business Administration with a strong interest in accounting
  • Must have completed at least one year of post-secondary education and be returning to school in the Fall 2023
