Job Title: Finance and Benefits Assistant

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Processing of employee changes in our scheduling software and meeting with employees
  • Organizing incoming invoices and scanning into electronic payable system
  • Enter data and maintain updated records
  • Meet with new Resident and/or family
  • Communicate with vendors, customers, families and colleagues

Education Required:

  • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a business program of 1 year to 2 years (or 5 years equivalent experience)

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of accounting and scheduling software
  • Familiarity with financial regulations, i.e. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, Excel, and Access
  • Organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Reliability and strong work ethics
  • Ability to solve problems and keen attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy in all aspects of the organization
  • Must take initiative and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Respectful and hardworking team player
  • Police check and Vulnerable Sector Screening Request in the last 3 months is required

Salary Range: $19/hour for probation period, then $21/hour
