The Benefits team are responsible for global benefits - inclusive of, day-to-day CA & US benefits for all eligible employees, benefit onboarding and offboarding, Disability Management, annual processes and compliance with company requirements and provincial and federal legislation (CA & US). As a more senior contributor, incumbent is responsible for Workday configuration and execution of Workday roadmap, provides insight and experience to enhance administration processes and development of benefits modernization through technological opportunities, all while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

Job Description

As a more senior contributor, incumbent is responsible for Workday configuration and execution of Workday roadmap, provides insight and experience to enhance administration processes and development of benefits modernization through technological opportunities, all while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.

Your roles and responsibilities:
- Manage general administration of benefit plans including processing all changes for new hires, terminations, leaves
- Investigate issues through day-to-day operation of HRIS system (Workday). This action also involves the participation and coordination of testing new releases/upgrades for the system.
- Benefits modernization - continuous improvements including modernization of benefits processes through technology
- Execute annual HRIS roadmap, ensuring system supports new plans, plan changes and plan updates
- Manage relevant Employee Handbook content and process documentation
- Develops reporting, correspondence and performs in-depth research as required.
- Support annual open enrolment process
- Supports and respond to internal and external audit requests as required
- Maintains external/internal relationships with vendors, consultants, 3rd parties
- Works independently and prioritizes own work
- Performs other duties as required to maintain and enhance departmental productivity
- May be assigned special projects with short to mid-term deliverables
Required Skills
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft products, including PowerPoint; experience with HRIS and benefits databases.
- Project and team management/leadership skills and experience.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.
- Effective planning and priority setting. Ability to manage projects while meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills and a thorough knowledge of plan designs.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
