Registered Nurse
We are currently seeking applicants for a Registered Nurse to fulfill a two-year contract in our Occupational work/ clinic environment with Irving Health Services, at our head office location in Saint John, New Brunswick.
You will be part of a team of health care providers working with health, safety, and wellness team members. Day to day activities will include Fit for Duty employment assessments, vaccinations, sample collection, referrals, and other preventative services. You will also maintain nursing supplies and equipment inventory, place and expedite orders and verify receipt of supplies.
Responsibilities

• Assessment and treatment of acute medical issues within scope of practice
  
• Correspondence with other health care providers related to patient information
  
• Maintenance of confidential medical records; ensuring continuity of care with health care team
  
• Liaison with healthcare professionals, regulatory bodies, Company management and employees
  
• Support of disability management team by reviewing case files and providing medical advice
  
• Undertake initiatives, projects, and other services as directed by Irving Health Services management
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing Degree
  
• Active registration with the Nursing Association of New Brunswick
  
• 15 years' experience preferably in a clinical or ER setting
  
• Current Advanced First Aid/AED and CPR certificates are an asset
  
• Able to manage confidential and sensitive issues with tact and discretion in a corporate setting
  
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills for communicating with employees of varying roles
  
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  
• Able to work well with minimal supervision and practice independently and as a member of the Health Services Team
  
• Proficient use of computer software including Microsoft Outlook/ Word/ Excel is preferred
  
• Travel is as needed/requested
