Midland Transport is currently seeking (01) Class 1 Linehaul TRM-TRM Delivery Driver based in Truro, NS Terminal.
The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a "Can Do" attitude.
  • Hours: Sun-Thu, start time varies from 2100 to 0700.
  • Average Miles per week: 2400.
  • Working with a Tractor and runs to inter-Maritimes.
  • Maintain company equipment standards.
  • Process delivery records with electronic handheld device.

Our requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of safe tractor driving experience.
  • Class one (1) driver's license.
  • Clean driver's abstract and criminal search.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude with a commitment to provide Superior Quality Service.

What We Offer:
  • Mile $0.486.
  • Hook up hours, waiting time and fueling hour: $22.99.
  • Dispatch delays are paid at the applicable hourly rate for all accumulated time after an initial 1 hour unpaid - calculated after time is allotted for drops, hooks and work time. Dispatch delay can occur at the start, duration or completion of a shift. Unpaid Dispatch delay will not exceed 1 hour per workday.
  • Benefits starting the first day of the following month of the start date: Medical, Drug and Dental, RRSP match at 5%, Life Insurance and Discounts.
  • Quarterly Safety bonus $200 (no preventable accident).
  • Mechanical Breakdowns compensation $15 per hour, max 8h a day.
  • Uniform Allowance is $350 per unit, per year.
