Gulf Operators, Ltd. is a civil contractor experienced in all aspects of civil work including drilling and blasting, concrete work, excavation, water and sewer, as well as aggregate production and sales.
At Gulf Operators Limited, you will discover a fast-paced work environment and gain exposure to a wide range of industrial, commercial, infrastructure and residential projects.
In the role of GROUNDSKEEPER, you will be provided a weekly schedule to follow at one location and work alongside well trained landscape professionals in the industry in a safe manner. There are opportunities for growth and development for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:

• Perform landscape enhancement duties such as mulch application, plantings, topsoil application and lawn seeding
• Operate a variety of mechanical equipment including commercial mowers, blowers and grass trimmers to complete job tasks
• General landscape duties including mowing, fertilizer application, spring clean-up, trimming and pruning
• Communicate with team members and clients in a friendly and professional manner
• These duties can require early morning or late night starts, extended hours, and weekend duty including holidays
• Basic plant knowledge including ability to identify different types of plants
• Winter work on snow removal crew is also available
• Work with attention to detail and professionalism

Required Competencies:

• 1 years' experience in landscaping
• Experience in a resort setting considered an asset
• Valid Driver's License is required
• Ability to drive a truck and trailer is considered an asset
• Hardworking, self-starter and team player with a strong work ethic
• Must be task oriented and able to work with minimal supervision
• Strong communication skills
• Enjoy working outdoors in diverse weather conditions
• Must be able to demonstrate a willingness to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
• Willing and available to work flexible shifts
• Ability to do landscaping in Summer and snow removal in Winter is considered an asset
