FULL-TIME MATERIAL HANDLER
Midland Transport Limited has become a leader in the transportation industry by providing superior service to our customers. Our services include LTL, T/L, Courier Services, and Third Party Logistics/Brokerage that provide the convenience of one-stop shipping.
Midland Transport is currently seeking a full-time overnight handler based at the Montreal Terminal in Dorval, Quebec. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a "Can Do" attitude..
Qualifications:
Education Required: Minimum high school diploma
Years of experience required: 2 years; prior experience in a warehouse and/or cargo handling environment preferred
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
Committed to working safely in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work positively with others to achieve common goals
Forklift experience and/or certification an asset, but not required
Ability to read and write clearly to complete work on paper
Knowledge of computers is an asset
Flexibility to work shifts is required
Primary responsibilities:
Perform all duties associated with loading and unloading trailers in preparation for delivery;
Prepare and report cargo handling details and shift statistics;
Load and unload pallets, trailers and trucks
Sort freight to assigned destination terminals
Ability to leave 75 lbs unassisted.
