Currently, we are looking to fill two (2) Product Owners to join our Cyber Security Initiatives team in a Permanent Position. Reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Cyber Security Initiatives, you will drive the implementation of cyber security capabilities in an agile environment by understanding the business and technology requirements to deliver on objectives.
This role will be well-suited to an experienced team leader or skilled mentor looking to expand their career leading a team assembled for the agile delivery of our cyber security initiatives or an experienced technology professional looking to develop managerial responsibilities to mature our cyber security posture. Cyber Security Initiatives include, but are not limited to, the advancement of operating system and endpoint security, including network/host-based security, wireless and mobile devices, identity access management, privileged access management, and others.
As the successful candidate, you will steer the cyber security initiative (product) throughout the product lifecycle and ensure the final delivered product meets business (end-user) requirements. You will successfully lead agile team members through modern product management techniques (e.g., OKRs, canvassing, design thinking, User Story Mapping, prioritizing value-focused backlog and risk reduction, etc.) as well as lead team planning sessions, daily scrums, retrospectives, sprint reviews, etc. to ensure alignment on vision and value delivery.
This leadership role requires an individual with a strong technical acumen, as well as a keen ability to work with the broader organization to align priorities and plans with key business objectives. As such, you must excel at balancing technology solutions with business drivers such as speed, agility, quality, and performance. Further, you will own and drive change with strong project coordination or project management experience, as well as phenomenal stakeholder management skills.
You will be responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and ensuring compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations. You will be accountable for environmental performance as it relates to the environmental management system processes and initiatives.
Skills, Capabilities and Experience:
A strong desire to learn, recommend, and support new security technologies (e.g., email security/SIEM/Firewalls/IDS/IPS/VPN/EDR/AV/AM/CASB/IAM/PAM, etc.) that can be adopted to enhance the organization's cyber security posture is critical for this role. Although you are most known for your proven ability to effectively deliver business change through technology, your strong influencing, persuasion, and facilitation skills are also your key strengths. A solid understanding of program and project management methodologies and Agile practices is preferred but not mandatory.
You hold a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, information security, engineering or other related discipline, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Information Technology related field. Industry recognized certification(s) in information technology risk and security are considered an asset.
