Manager, Continuous Improvement

The Manager, Continuous Improvement will be based out of Toronto, Ontario (1551 Weston Road, M6M 4Y4) .
The Continuous Improvement Manager is a key member of the Site Leadership team who is responsible for engaging teams at all levels to achieve business results through business process improvement and operational excellence initiatives. Through high energy and being results oriented, the Continuous Improvement Manager will engage and empower others to drive improvement in all key areas of manufacturing. (Safety, Engagement, Quality, Pr oductivity, and Cost). This is a permanent, full-time position.

Job Requirements
  • Education Required: University degree / technical diploma
  • Years of Experience Required: 5 years of relevant work experience, Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Company recognized Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Certification preferred. Minimum Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

The main duties/responsibilities of this role include:
  • Drives improvement through leveraging and improving all aspects of the Irving Management System at the site, motivating teams to strive toward a world class operation.
  • Ensures strategic goals are cascaded through the business and that initiative and daily management processes are delivering on these goals.
  • Is the site champion for developing, maintaining and executing data system strategies that ensure a culture of data-based decision making at the site.
  • Builds and manages strategies to improve Lean capability at all levels within the site, including the Lean Six Sigma belting program.
  • Engages with the Corporate CI team to drive strategies, initiatives, and alignment across the sites.
  • Supervision of a team of direct report(s)
