We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Cultivation Technician.

Reporting to the Department Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be a motivated individual who displays strong attention to detail, has excellent organizational skills and can maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast paced and changing work environment. The Technician will work closely with the Supervisor, tending to a devoted area of the operation.

This position requires physical demands such as reaching, bending, walking, standing, performing repetitive work and lifting to 50 lbs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Various crop care, including transplanting, potting, de-leafing, pruning, and pinching plants
  • Engages in room loads & room levels
  • Installs and adjusts trellis for optimal cannabis growth and according to standard
  • Prepares recipes for watering and/or application of pesticides;
  • Takes moisture readings and determining watering needs;
  • Carefully monitors the health of the plants for proper care, including pesticide application;
  • Responsible for general housekeeping of production area;
  • Cleans and sanitizes equipment, pots, trays, etc. as per Health Canada standards;
  • Organizes and maintains materials, restocks supplies when needed;
  • Collects samples for Cultivation R&D;
  • Updates and tracks cultivation activities using a variety of methods including Organigrow, charts, calendars, and whiteboards;
  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong sense of work quality and safety;
  • Effortlessly takes direction and follows through on tasks;
  • Capable of working both independently and on a team;
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal;
  • Positive attitude with excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Attention to detail with good analytical and observational skills;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Fall arrest training would be considered an asset.
