SmartSkin Technologies is looking to add a Director of Marketing, Food & Beverage. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the Director of Marketing, Food & Beverage is primarily responsible for planning and actively managing the delivery of marketing and lead generation activities for the Food & Beverage line of business. This includes supporting the overall Food & Beverage team as well as being a brand representative at industry events, and onsite with prospects and clients.

Objectives of the role:

  • Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team, including the VP of Sales, Food & Beverage, to uncover insights and strategies to develop and implement marketing and demand generation tactics for new and existing clients
  • Oversee and execute Food & Beverage marketing opportunities, consistently identifying revenue growth within our established client base and helping win new accounts
  • Understand key marketing performance metrics and tracking tools to provide market research, forecasts, competitive analyses, campaign results, and consumer trends in order to translate results into actionable insights for marketing and Food & Beverage teams

Core duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Lead the development of the Food & Beverage marketing plan; working closely with the F&B team, clients, executive, creative and content teams, and distribution partners, to create an effective and efficient marketing strategy focused on growing qualified leads for our products
  • Lead the strategic and tactical execution of marketing campaigns, including implementation of tests, tracking, results reporting, and analysis. Post campaigns, provide the results and recommendations for ways to improve.
  • Manage conception, development, and implementation of promotional programs, trade shows, webinars, and other industry events that will drive interest and sales
  • Create and manage the design and delivery of sales enablement material, including product sheets, videos, sales presentations, case studies, use cases, and other sales support materials
  • Participate in regular meetings with Sales and Customer Success to review pipeline, resolve challenges, and present possible solutions, and provide ongoing training to ensure team consistently performs above standard
  • Attend and/or participate at conventions, conferences, and tradeshows, preparing engaging displays and collateral as needed, and providing post-event reports and analysis
  • Oversee the Food & Beverage content on the corporate website and all nurture campaigns related to lead generation, qualification, and follow-up

Skills and Qualifications

  • A relevant post-secondary degree or equivalent experience in marketing, advertising, and/or communications with a strong focus on technical, B2B marketing and sales support
  • Successful track record in senior marketing roles and creating marketing campaigns
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Experience with demand generation, digital and print marketing, content marketing, event marketing, and social media marketing
  • Proven ability to plan and manage budgets

Additional Considerations

  • Must be able to work outside of regular business hours, as required, which may include nights and weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Work requires willingness to travel on an as needed basis
  • Work location is flexible across SmartSkin Technologies' offices in Fredericton & Saint John, with some work from home capability.
