The purpose of this position is to monitor and enhance compliance to legislation and practice standards within the delivery of child protection programs and services. This position is responsible for quality improvement and audit of compliance with legislation, protocols, policies and procedures impacting the safety and well-being of children in care and children/families receiving services pursuant to the Child Protection Act.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
-Researching and analyzing audit processes in other jurisdictions;
-Engaging and educating divisional management and employees in the development and implementation of audit frameworks;
-Conducting reviews of specific service delivery incidents and providing a comprehensive analysis to include action plan to prevent similar future occurances;
-Preparing comprehensive reports documenting findings, conclusions, observations and/or recommendations.
-Applying professional process and administrative expertise to the assessment, measurement, analysis and reporting of audit findings.
-Other duties as required
-Masters degree in social sciences or related field, supplemented with extensive experience in program development and quality assurance. Experience in child protection an asset.
-Experience in conducting practice audits and trend analysis.

-Excellent report writing skills. Knowledge of excel spreadsheets and other computer software.
-Strong oral and written skills.
-Must have a good previous work and attendance record and provide a satisfactory criminal records check, vulnerable sector check and child protection record check prior to beginning employment.
