We have an immediate opening for a Director of IT Strategy & Project Management. This key position reports to the Vice President of Operations and Administration and will help to shape the IT and Project Management strategy with senior leadership and support its successful implementation across all parts of the organization, to manage, prioritize and monitor the group's IT projects portfolio, to develop, advance, automate and deploy Project Management best practices across all Business Lines of Ocean Capital Group of companies.
Key Responsibilities
  • IT Strategy: lead the evolution and implementations of IT Strategy for Ocean Capital with senior leaders:
    • Engage business leaders in creation and implementation of IT strategy, BI Strategy and Cybersecurity Strategy
    • Develop and implement IT maturity assessment, IT vision, guiding principles, operating model
    • Develop and implement an IT roadmap based on the outcomes of the above
    • Create continuity between recent and past practice and today's requirements
  • Project Management: Develop and deploy leading best practices in Project Management:
    • Create CoE for Project Management to advance, automate and deploy Project Management best practices across all operating businesses
    • Manage, prioritise, and monitor the group's IT projects portfolio
    • Oversee the management of Enterprise IT Projects (e.g. Homebase, JD Edwards, Hyperion, Oracle EPM, CRM, Cybersecurity, Wide Orbit in addition to others)
    • Promote new project management policies and have other IT in affiliate companies adopt those policies
    • Remain current and competent in 'best practice' in project management, as a specialized discipline
    • Recommend, develop, and support governance practices for all IT projects, system automation
  • Financial and Human Resource Management Systems:
    • Ensure fully functional Financial & HR Management Systems that support businesses and OC
    • Oversee the operation, support, and enhancements of HR modules including Core HR, Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, Learning, Onboarding, Health & Safety, Compensation etc.) and Financial Management systems (e.g. FCCS, Narrative Reporting, budgeting and planning, etc.) - which includes process, measures, risks mitigation, stakeholders relationship
    • Advise on selection and implications of any additional significant Human Resources and Financial Management Systems
    • Ensure that Financial and Human Resources managers have the data they require to make sound decisions
    • Put new operational standards, tracking systems, measurement criteria to enhance the service levels of the managed systems
    • Lead, together with Human Resources leadership, the operation of human capital management system governance committee to maintain, enhance and develop the relevant systems and processes
  • Analytics and BI: Provide businesses with essential Analytics and Business Intelligence:
    • Build and lead the Business Intelligence capability that our businesses need to remain competitive
    • Promote and enable the increased use of data and analytics for business decisions makers
    • Cooperate with third parties to develop and implement the best BI technologies to provide a competitive advantage for our operating businesses

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience
  • Completion of advanced level degree (Masters) in Information Technology and Engineering
  • An understanding of the relationship between business performance and information technology
  • Certification and at least five years of senior experience in IT Project Management
  • Minimum 3-5 years professional experience in System Administration Management
