STRATEGIC CUSTOMER ANALYST
Toronto Office or Head Office Dieppe
The Strategic Customer Analyst will be the key business liaison between Irving Tissue & Diaper Supply Chain, Sales, Customer's Business Unit and Flow teams. The Strategic Customer Analyst will ensure there is collaborative and effective alignment between Irving and Customer's strategies, while working towards improving customer service, resolving issues and implementing cost saving initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Improve Forecast Accuracy
  • Review weekly promotional forecast to coordinate and ensure proper volumes/shipments minimizing excess inventory at the distribution center level
  • Coordinate Customer's forecast allocation with Sales, Demand Planners and Supply Chain Coordinators
  • Prepare forecast reviews to improve forecast accuracy
  • Collaborate with customer on forecast and buffers and complete root cause analysis and post mortem for all buffered items

Improve In Stock Availability
  • Provide recommendations to customer on inventory based on upcoming activities and DOH velocity by distrubution center
  • Improve In Stock Availability - Close gap between Inbound Fill Rate and Outbound Fill Rate
  • Improving the flow of goods - Crossdock/ad buying process review

Facilitate Meetings / Initiatives / Projects
  • Act as Supply Chain point of contact for Customer and represent all Irving Supply Chain process owners
  • Provide enhanced insights of the business to facilitate internal processes and planning
  • Lead weekly, monthly and quarterly meetings with customers
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to improve execution and add value through Supply Chain

Improve Efficiencies
  • Increase business synergies between Irving and the Customer
  • Develop, run or implement KPI reports as necessary
  • Proactive data maintenance to reduce the occurrence of related failures - invoicing, ordering and costing
  • Reduction and continuous monitoring of non-compliance fines - late deliveries, fill rate and demurrage

Promotional Planning
  • Assist in the execution of large-scale promotions
  • Post Mortem analysis to improve processes for future promotions

Job Requirements:
  • University Degree
  • 2-5 years experience in a related field
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills required
  • Expert knowledge of Excel
  • Detail oriented
  • Analytical skills
  • Problem solving skills
