The opportunity:
The Northern NB Woodlands Division is seeking to fill a Silviculture Quality Assessor position for the Summer 2022 (end of April to August). We are looking for reliable and motivated individuals who demonstrate a positive attitude towards teamwork.
  • Perform quality assessments in tree planting operations
  • Identify unsuccessful plots and provide feedback to the team leader
  • Exceed the daily production and quality target
  • Follow the best forestry management pratices
  • Respect and promote safety procedures and safe work practices

Your qualifications:
  • Experience in forestry considered an asset
  • Driver's license (class 5)
  • Physically able to walk on uneven terrain
  • Be able to motivate yourself to work independently without supervision
  • Positive attitude and ability to motivate peers
  • Ability to analyse and solve problems
  • Be able to work in team and in a safe manner
  • Bilingualism considered an asset
  • Meet the JDI selection criteria

The work environment:
  • Outdoors in all weather (rain, heat, insects, etc)
  • Environment based on teamwork
  • Working days: Monday to Friday
  • Season length: end of April to August
