Jump Recruitment is currently seeking candidates for the position of Branch Manager for our client, Children's Education Funds Inc. (CEFI) The Branch Manager is the primary on-site supervisor and assist the Provincial Trading Officer (PTO) and Head Office (HO) in the supervision of dealing representatives (DRs) to ensure they meet securities requirements. The Branch Manager is also responsible for supervising the opening of new accounts, enrolments made for each subscriber and advice provided to each subscriber.


Children's Education Funds Inc. has been assisting families across Canada save for post-secondary education since 1991. CEFI administers three different RESP options, each with different options and features. Our dealing representatives are trained to help families identify which RESP might best suit their goals. All our RESPs enable eligible families to access RESP-specific government grants. Plus, contributions into our RESPs earn AirMiles Reward Miles ®.   • Preliminary CEFI training of all new DRs.
  • Reviewing subscription applications for suitability, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Promoting the professional development of DRs.
  • Reporting to the PTO and providing all necessary documentation relating to trade review except to the extent reviewing BM business.
  • Collecting, filing, and providing quarterly activity reports to the PTO.
  • Conducting background business checks of new recruits.
  • Overseeing dealing and marketing practices of DRs and reporting any anomalies to the PTO.
  • Assisting with follow-up on servicing customers and any complaints as required.
  • Communicating with each DR in the branch regularly and generally weekly to discuss the status of their business and any issues they may have and recording such conversations in their (electronic) branch logbook.
  • Follow up on any compliance updates and changes communicated to the field by Head Office.
  • Operations Training for DRs through branch sessions, formal and informal meetings, and day-to-day interaction.


  • Post-Secondary Education or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 years management experience.
  • Previous sales experience at an intermediate to senior level.
  • Previous experience in insurance sales would be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills required, both written and oral.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work and act independently using good judgement when assessing difficult situations.
  • Self-motivated, target driven and believes in delivering on quality to our customers.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship building abilities.
  • Highly disciplined, with excellent time management & organizational skills.
