HOURS OF WORK:

8-hour shift - Monday to Friday

Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Manager of the Regional Office of Research Services, the Research Coordinator is responsible for the administration and coordination of research activities for the NB-PALM project, an initiative of the Healthy Seniors Pilot Project, in cooperation with the Senior Coordinator of the Biobank and Databases. This includes any activity related to recruiting, participant follow-up and research projects resulting from the NB-PALM initiative. The Coordinator must also be able to facilitate all the initiatives, meetings, presentations and publications based on the results obtained in this initiative.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Master's degree in science, nursing, health sciences or a similar discipline or an equivalent combination of training (at least a bachelor's degree) and experience will be accepted;
  • At least two years' experience in the health research field within a university setting, medical research institution or hospital setting;
  • Experience in research project coordination;
  • Training or experience in social work or involving public interactions in the health care context is an asset;
  • Sufficient understanding of the medical concepts and terminology is important;
  • Experience with computers (MS Office);
  • Solid administrative and organizational skills are essential;
  • Attention to detail and ability to establish priorities;
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Familiarity with the ICH-GCP guidelines and the Tri-Council Policy Statement, or willingness to take online training;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;
  • Good work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
  • Compliance with Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules;
  • Written and oral proficiency in French and English required;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned work;

Written and spoken competence in French and spoken competence in English are required.
