Health Records Transcriptionist

WorkSafeNB is accepting applications for a casual position, 35 hours per week while on assignment, of Health Records Transcriptionist in Grand Bay-Westfield, New Brunswick.
Reporting to the Resource Manager of Occupational/Physical Therapy and Vocational Evaluation, you will transcribe medical reports, code claims, respond to letters and voice-mail messages, release information from claim files, maintain file release statistics, import WorkSafeNB Rehabilitation Centre documents into the program Workbench, and perform other clerical duties as required.

You as a successful candidate possess:
- A completed one-year post-secondary program in such areas as health records, medical administration, pharmacy technician, medical transcriptionist or office administration (with coursework completed in medical terminology), as a minimal educational requirement.
- Have demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Word and Excel, and type 50 wpm
- Certified membership in the Canadian Health Record Association would be an asset.
Written and spoken competence in English is required
