The Role:
As a result of continued robust growth, we are seeking a D365 Technical Architect role to join our ERP implementation team in Saint John, NB. This position will report to the ERP Program Director.
Responsibilities:
  • Final sign off and approval on all technical solutions (detailed design for infrastructure, integration and applications)
  • Attend and participate in the relevant workshop sessions, ensuring the technical quality of the solutions
  • Ensuring capture and fit of all non-functional requirements
  • Ensure technical (non-functional) requirements are properly established and aligned to corporate standards and the overall solution architecture
  • Ensure development standards and adherence to IT development and code management practices
  • Provide documentation on applications and environments needed to support solution implementation
  • Evaluate and make recommendations on deployment strategies and migration strategies
  • Responsible for all infrastructure, including production (and application) and non-production environments, development environments and development tools setup
  • Coordination with project manager to ensure all resources in place to support technical work, infrastructure build and deployment to support D365 rollout activities
  • Participate in the development of the project management plan for technical resources and deliverables
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and data governance policies
  • Technical vendor management
  • Collaborating with other architects, developers, and stream leads to ensure successful delivery of the solution on time
  • Identify and request required hardware
  • Work with Change Manager to develop handover training and related documents

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or 5+ years experience in Technical Architect role
  • Microsoft D365 Finance & Supply Chain experience an asset
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to see big-picture designs from basic specifications.
  • Ability to problem solve complex IT issues.
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills
  • Ability to communicate technical problems/solutions to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles, processes and tools an asset
