Pennecon has been awarded the Quartz Creek Bridge Replacement project which is part of the Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta program. This project involves replacing the two-lane bridge crossing at Quartz Creek, 40 km west of Golden, with a new four-lane bridge, access improvements to forest service roads and widening 4.4 km of two-lane highway to four lanes.

Human Resources/Labour Relations/Community Liaison
Location: Quartz Creek, British Columbia

Reporting to the Site Project Manager, with a functional reporting relationship to the Corporate Human Resources Vice President, this position provides advice and guidance to employees and supervisors working at the project site, with respect to corporate and client HR policies, practices, procedures, and legislative requirements

As a key member of the project team, you will have the responsibility to foster positive employee and labour relations, site collective agreement administration, and promote positive community relations with local Indigenous communities and the client.

Your primary accountabilities would include: recruiting, supporting the Company's HR, safety, quality and environmental programs, timely investigation of employee incidents and complaints, recommendation of appropriate progressive corrective action, encouraging, coaching employees and supervisors, and various reporting functions.

You will have a business degree or diploma, extensive experience in a Human Resources role or have an acceptable combination of education and experience. You will enjoy a strong relationship focus through establishing partnerships both internally and externally. You must possess strong influential skills and be confident working individually, while also contributing to the HR and project team.

The successful candidate is a high-energy, goal oriented individual and passionate about the work they do. The selected candidate will have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills and have the ability to multitask and execute work within deadlines. They will also have a strong work ethic, work well unsupervised as well as within a team environment and are proficient in the use of computers.
