The Construction and Equipment Division, a part of the J.D. Irving, Limited's group of companies, is a key player in the North American construction industry. Our core businesses are Irving Equipment, Gulf Operators, CFM, Irving Wallboard, and Kent Homes and the group provides heavy equipment and crane services, civil construction, modular home and commercial buildings, and machining, technical services, repair and overhaul to its customers.

We currently have an engaging opportunity for a BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION STUDENT for a Fall Co-Op term. This will appeal to students that are enrolled in BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, specifically in Finance or Accounting, and you will utilize technology and work with a supportive team that will drive you to be your best. You will be a strong resource who works collaboratively with our Division's operational leaders and team members. The successful candidate will work closely with our multiple business lines, including Irving Equipment, Gulf Operators, CFM, Kent Homes, and Atlantic Wallboard.
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Invoicing, managing contracts, creating purchase orders & assisting operations with day to day activities
-Reporting and proving value added analysis on costs and profitability
-Gaining exposure to Data Analytics tools used to drive Process Improvement
-Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
Education, Knowledge and Skills :
-Currently enrolled in a BBA undergraduate degree program (preferred finance or accounting) and in positive academic standing
-Strong communication and problem solving skills
-Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (particularly Excel)
-Ability to work independently or with a team player
-Attention to detail
-Continuous Improvement mindset
-Self-starter with the ability to plan and execute responsibilities
All of our student roles will require full time enrollment in a related post-secondary program in good academic standing, excellent analytic and organizational skills, and a great attitude with an eagerness to learn.
