We are currently recruiting for a Manager, Marketing & Events (term position) to join our team of dedicated professionals in Halifax, Nova Scotia as a replacement for a maternity leave.
Reporting to the Director, Marketing & Communications, the Manager, Marketing & Events will shape and manage the Develop Nova Scotia brand; developing and executing marketing strategies corporately and for all business lines including the organization's collateral, signage, advertising, campaigns, clothing, etc. This position is responsible to curate and manage the organization's events strategy, which includes identifying, negotiating, leveraging and activating all sponsorships. The Manager, Marketing & Events is also responsible for event management related to Develop Nova Scotia events including public consultation, community engagement, and select annual events. The successful candidate is responsible for development and implementation of the annual tenant marketing plan to support corporate marketing objectives, including management of the Tenant Marketing Fund. The Manager, Marketing & Events will also influence, and at times lead, market research activities and programs.
As the ideal candidate, you are an ultra-creative and strategic marketing professional. You see the big picture but can manage the finest detail through execution. You are a compelling story-teller, inspiring strong and meaningful connections with people through your work. Ideally, you possess five to seven years marketing experience, including responsibility for brand building and execution. Experience in place marketing considered an asset. Experience managing outside agencies or contracts is essential. You have strong business acumen and can translate market research into actionable plans and activate partnerships to drive results. An eye for design is a plus. A university degree in marketing, communications or public relations related field is required.
