Legal Research Coordinator (Bilingual)
Salary Range: $44,00 to 58,000 per annum

Public Legal Education and Information Service of New Brunswick is a non-profit organization with a mandate to educate the public about the law and promote access to the legal system. We are seeking a bilingual "legal research coordinator to:

  • Review, edit and up-date existing publications to ensure legal accuracy
  • Research and draft new publications including brochures and procedural guides
  • Prepare information for the website and social media on topical legal issues
  • Handle inquiries from the public related to a range of law information topics
  • Liaise with the legal community as well as many our community partners and stakeholders
  • Participate in various in projects, events, workshops, committees and working groups
  • Assist in the preparation of funding proposals and explore opportunities for developing new law information services and innovative practices.

We are looking for an individual with a broad knowledge of topical legal issues. The candidate must be an excellent researcher, able to write in plain language, have strong interpersonal skills, and be able to deal effectively with the public and justice stakeholders.

Preference will be given to applicants with a law degree and 1-3 years experience researching and writing on legal topics. Other related education and background experience may be considered. The successful candidate must be bilingual and have the ability to communicate effectively in both languages.
