Finance and Treasury Board is seeking a highly motivated and creative professional to join the Employee Safety and Wellness team for a one-year secondment/ contract. Finance and Treasury Board is responsible for the strategic, policy and program framework with regards to attraction, recruitment and retention, leadership and employee development, and workplace health, safety and wellness. Enabling GNB to improve workplace health, safety and wellness is a key strategic priority.

What you will do:

As Wellness Specialist, your responsibilities include the planning, development and implementation of wellness programs to support healthy lifestyles; the coordination of events and communications, the marketing of wellness offerings and events, working with external organizations for corporate wellness programming and supporting data collection to measure success on wellness programs and initiatives. 

Essential Qualifications:  Bachelor's Degree in a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience. 

An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

You must clearly demonstrate the essential qualifications to be given further consideration. 

Written and spoken competence in English is required for this position. Please ensure that preferred language for your assessment is identified on your resume.

As an ideal candidate for this position, it will be important that you possess the following behavioral and technical competencies:

Behavioural Competencies: Analytical Thinking, Initiative, Teamwork and Cooperation, Effective Interactive Communication, and Results Orientation. 

Technical Competencies: Proven knowledge of current industry advances, changing theories and best practices related to workplace wellness to support a leading-edge corporate program.

Salary: $56,524 to $78,962 per annum
