Manager of Business Relationship Management (BRM)

The CIO Division is looking for a Manager of Business Relationship Management (BRM) who will be based in Saint John, New Brunswick, and will report to the Director, Information Technology.

As the BRM manager, you will be tasked with leading people, communicating with leadership, and bridging gaps between the CIO Division and other business units. Within Information Technology, your areas of focus will include managing the BRM and project management teams as well as taking on a leadership role in any technology change management initiatives and departmental process management.

As a member of the technology leadership team, you will help ensure technology solutions are aligned with business goals and digital strategies. You will be instrumental in developing and maintaining a holistic approach service delivery by the CIO team.

Your key areas of responsibility will include:

  • Project management for all technology projects and initiatives
  • Business analysis for medium and large service requests
  • Systems analysis for approved work scope
  • Quality assurance 
  • UAT coordination
  • User experience
  • Communicating business initiatives, goals, and strategies to the CIO Division

As an ideal candidate you hold:

  • University degree in Business or Information Technology
  • Certifications in business relationship management
  • Strong writing, speaking and presenting skills
  • Strong understanding of IT and its relationship with other business units

Proficiency in English, written and spoken, is required. French language proficiency will be considered an asset.

WorkSafeNB administers no-fault workplace accident and disability insurance for employers and their workers, funded solely through assessments on employers. All employers having three or more workers are obligated to obtain compensation coverage.

WorkSafeNB is committed to preventing workplace injuries and illness through education and enforcement of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

WorkSafeNB is administered by a board of directors consisting of the chairperson, a vice-chairperson, the president and CEO (non-voting member), the chairperson of the Appeals Tribunal (non-voting member), five members representing workers, and five members representing employers. Other than the president & CEO and the chairperson of the Appeals Tribunal, members of the board of directors serve part-time.

WorkSafeNB's mandate is to:

  • Provide sustainable insurance and insurance-related services to the employer community.
  • Represent stakeholders and provide recommendations and advice to government with respect to legislation, and publish such reports, studies, and recommendations WorkSafeNB considers advisable.

Assessments are affected by the level of activities in the province's workplaces, as are the resulting claims. There are also substantial assets that ensure WorkSafeNB will be able to provide the ongoing benefits promised to injured workers through a wage loss recovery insurance system. These funds are invested in the financial markets and investment returns are subject to the ups and downs of the marketplace.

WorkSafeNB's head office is located in Saint John. The WorkSafeNB Rehabilitation Centre is located in Grand Bay-Westfield. We also have offices in Bathurst, Grand Falls and Dieppe.
