Open (Term Position)

The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development is seeking an individual to join the Early Childhood Development Branch as a Provincial Program Consultant working in the Central Office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the productivity and quality assurance as it pertains to effective program delivery as it pertains to the Enhanced Support Worker program. The successful candidate will be responsible to lead the review of the existing program; design and develop new program elements in light of Government/Department policies and priorities, and coordinate and implement new initiatives and program changes. As required, the incumbent will provide support to the administration of the current program providing interpretation of program policies, procedures, guidelines and standards as it relates to the delivery of the program and the preparation of the annual application process. The program consultant is also responsible for managing and monitoring an external contract focused on supporting inclusion in early learning and childcare facilities .

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: University degree in Education or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of related work experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS: Preference may be given to candidates that demonstrate experience in project management.

Subject to the response to this competition, candidates may be required to demonstrate on their application one or more of the asset qualifications in addition to the essential qualifications in order to be given further consideration.

The following operational requirement(s) is also required: May require some travel. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license.

  • Pay Band 5: $56, 524 - $78, 962 per annum
