What you can expect in a typical day:
We have an exciting opportunity for a professional with operations experience to join our team as a Distribution Manager in Saint John, NB. The Distribution Manager will be responsible for the daily scheduling of company resources to meet customer requirements, while focusing on safety and efficient utilization of assets and costs.

  • Ensures alignment of team and individual goals, focusing on change and continuous improvement initiatives to achieve business objectives
  • Provides clear direction by establishing and regularly communicating performance expectations and results with the team
  • Takes appropriate actions to address issues as and when they arise
  • Holds individuals accountable for their commitments, job performance and behaviors by regularly providing timely, specific and constructive feedback
  • Conveys a sense of urgency and moves issues to closure through effective planning and prioritizing of activities
  • Demonstrates an ability to make difficult decisions to support strategy
  • Celebrates successes and acknowledges disappointments in such a way that they motivate an even higher level of commitment and performance
  • Responsible for development and management of assigned territory budget, targets and resource allocation decisions
  • Knowledgeable in current and potential practices and trends in the industry to develop strategies to increase profitability

  • Occasional travel within New Brunswick required

Education and experience
  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent distribution experience, with a customer service background
  • 2-3 years' experience in distribution and/or customer service with a minimum 2-3 years of leadership/management experience
  • Excellent communication, verbal and written skills along with presentation skills 
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Must be able to lead by example and action oriented
  • Previous experience in an operational environment, manufacturing or transportation industry would be considered an asset
  • Business Acumen. Analytical skills, computer skills, team player
