Service Manager

We are an established local Hyundai dealership operating for over 18 years. We are looking for a qualified individual to become part of our successful team. The Service Manager role is critical to Service Department success and profitability. The primary function of Service Manager is to ensure a consistently favorable customer experience that contributes to customer retention and loyalty. The Service Managers role is pivotal in all Service Department interactions and maintaining customers' loyalty. The Service Manager develops service Advisor abilities and trains them on the processes required to deliver a consistent customer experience. The Service Manager ensures consistent communication and organization between the technicians and the service Advisors. The Service Manager also coaches the service Advisors with their interactions with customers and how to deal with objects to required service.

Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to follow Service core processes as documented in the following primary functions:
  • Managing Service Advisors
  • Managing Technicians
  • Developing Service Advisors Sales Abilities
  • Developing and implementing Service Processes
  • Follow up and Concern Resolution Process
  • Delivery of all Service Advisor responsibilities
  • Ensuring Accurate Customer Information is maintained
  • Mining the customer database to constantly bring customers into the service department
  • Review and understand the financial statement and how to impact the bottom line by improving all areas of the service department

Other responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accurate Service Department records and files
  • Completing Hyundai training requirements and additional self-initiated learning that contributes to role success
  • Attending and contributing to Service Department and Dealership meetings and customer events
  • Assisting in warranty submissions to the manufacturer
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Providing a safe work environment

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma minimum, preferred Post-Secondary education
  • Knowledge of vehicle operations and repairs
  • Competency requirements include: Customer Service, Listening, Problem Solving, Initiative, Teamwork, Selling, Managing, multiple Priorities
  • Must possess valid driver's license
  • Work environment includes intermittent exhaust fumes, noise from shop tools and vapors from various shop supplies

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 7:30 to 5:00pm

Wages and Incentives:

  • $45,000 and $60,000 per year
