HR Director, Global Information Technology

Based in Florenceville, with around 15% international travel, the role holder will be a strategic HR partner to the Global IS client group to deliver the shared business goals, strategies and initiatives. The role holder will be responsible for a global approach to organizational and people capability building, long term resource and talent management planning and execution, using business insights to drive change in people management practices as well as advising and making recommendations on the people implications of organization change.
Key Accountabilities
Business Partnership
Immerse self into the dedicated client functions to understand the strategy and forward direction. Build confidential and objective relationships with each of the senior leaders in order to provide support and challenge in a way that will continue to move the function forward.
Awareness of competitors and how we can apply people solutions that will be our market differentiator.
Building People Capability in a Performance Culture
In collaboration with business leaders, build a performance based culture that promotes and utilizes McCain best practices including: Core Competencies, Success Frameworks, 360 Feedback and employee survey feedback. Gather insights from the client group and translate into practical people solutions that will enhance the performance of individual team members as well as business results.
Design and deliver workshops for senior leaders and their teams to raise awareness and skill levels of People Capability tools and techniques such as Personal Development Planning, Blended Learning, Career conversations and change management
Talent Development, Acquisition & Succession Planning
Host regular people meetings with Senior Leadership team where resource review and planning is a permanent agenda item.
Understand the bench strength of the function's People Pipeline and pro-actively develop internal talent against identified career paths to keep the pipeline fluid. Plan and execute the succession for senior and critical roles, identifying opportunities that will provide exposure and accelerate growth.
Attract and retain external talent using the employer brand and potential criteria to continue to fill the people pipeline.
Organizational Design
Regularly review with the Senior Leadership Team the extent that the structure is fit for purpose to deliver against the longer term (i.e. 3 year) business plan.
Assess, develop and design the required structure that match the people against business requirements, identifying where and what development interventions are required and/or where new skills are to be acquired within agreed headcount.
Provide sound advice and support the change management and execution of a robust design.
People Projects
Participate in the design, execution and embedding of people initiatives such as the Success Frameworks. Ensure that Regions have clear execution plans with agreed outcomes and support is provided to Leaders and local HRBP's in order to drive highest levels of value.

Employee Relations
Ensure consistent, timely and accurate application and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and McCain policies and practices. Advise and coach client groups.
Qualifications:
Academic:Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field
Professional/Technical Accreditations/Attributes:
Must have:

  • Experience working in IT or related industry as an HR Business Partner
  • Proven track record of leading transformation and large scale change initiatives
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex environment effectively
  • Ability to identify organizational needs and design appropriate solutions
  • Ability to drive results in a fast paced, agile manner
