What you can expect in a typical day:
We have an exciting opportunity for a safety focused individual looking to provide Engineering Support to daily operations. This role would interact with our operations and Health and Safety personnel to progress projects and initiatives. Projects work includes developing the reliability and compliance aspects and asset integrity projects focusing on maintenance.
What you'll need to succeed:
  • Mark Up/ Update engineering drawing and manage process with drafting resources.
  • With supervision, prepare basic plans, calculations and designs for processes and units, as it pertains to Sales and Marketing assets.
  • Collect data and conduct studies and surveys on our equipment and our processes.
  • Investigate and analyze operational problems and opportunities and recommend remedies.
  • Assist more experienced engineers on complex tasks to gain experience and knowledge.
  • Develop standards and processes to manage risks.

Travel
  • Travel within Canada and the United States required.

Education and experience:
  • Bachelor of Engineering, or higher, in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Entry level position. Work terms or summer experience in engineering role within an industrial environment is preferable.
  • Good human relation skills with other employees. 
  • Must be flexible and able to multi-task.
  • Good communication skills oral and written. 
  • Analytical and problem solving skills, computer skills. 
  • Drafting and drawing interpretation.
