What you can expect in a typical day:
We have an exciting opportunity for Seasonal Customer Service Representatives to engage with our residential customers and provide an excellent customer experience. The key priorities for this role will include answering incoming calls, emails and fax requests from external consumers regarding their personal accounts. As part of the team, this reliable individual will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service that our clientele have come to expect from Irving Oil. This individual will also work with other departments to assist in the resolution of issues or requests while taking ownership of the consumer experience.

  • Ensure accuracy when requests are logged, resolved and escalated where appropriate.
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Work with other departments to assist in the resolution of issues or requests.
  • Communicate issues and resolutions to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Taking ownership for the consumer experience while maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Perform other duties as required to maintain and enhance consumer relations and departmental productivity.

  • Travel is not a requirement for this position.

Education and experience
  • High School with Post-secondary education preferred.
  • 1-3 years Contact Center experience.
  • Bilingualism is an asset (English and French)
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proven ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and be a reliable team player.
  • Able to make decisions and support team members.
  • Must possess strong communication skills with ability to quickly build rapport and maintain relationships.
