Take a look at this opportunity. The Canada IT/Security Manager is responsible for the operating activities of The Canadian IT/Security engineering team. This position is based in our Montreal, QC location.
This person will develop, refine, and maintain plans, policies, and procedures for all operating and security compliance activities.
Identifies, prioritizes, and communicates all system and process issues that affect productivity and efficiency, and provides input and support for necessary improvements.
Duties may include, but are not limited to:
  • creating or maintaining operation policies
  • scheduling
  • IT purchasing for the region.
  • reporting, or inventory reconciliation
  • client IT interaction
  • project management
  • problem management

    The Manager Level works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
    Exercises judgement within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other personnel.
    The Manager provides executives with the necessary assistance, guidance, and advice to ensure good practices in standard methodologies and processes. Also provides leadership to Specialists, Analysts and Associates, ensuring that assigned team members meet or exceed goals.
  • Prepares basic budget reports assures timeline compliance
  • develops implementation/delivery plans.
  • Gives input to Executive Director on performance of assigned staff.
  • Trains less-experienced staff members.

  • Qualifications
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree with technical or business emphasis, 4-6 years of related experience or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • 2-4 years of supervisory/management experience.

  • Security governance knowledge (PCI DSS). Good to have
  • Linux and Windows system administration knowledge. Good to have
