What You'll Be Doing
You'll be joining CIBC's Finance Business Intelligence Technology team which leads complex projects to design strategic solutions aligned to CIBC's enterprise architecture roadmap in line with Business Requirements. As a Business Systems Consultant ( BSC ), you'll support end-to-end project implementation, and act as a cross functional subject matter expert. You'll collaborate with a diverse team which includes Treasury and Finance business, system developers and QA teams to create and build solutions, that deliver a best-in-class client experience. You will also be required to understand and support the functional areas within Treasury and Finance.
How You'll Succeed
  • Understanding and Documenting Requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements. Consult with vendor and development teams on requirements, and implementation. Provide guidance and advice to clients in use of business applications, including advanced functions and productivity enhancement.
  • Solution Design - Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.
  • Leading and Mentoring - Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.
  • Communication and Relationships - Build strong relationships and partnerships with stakeholders, technical team members, clients, vendors and peers. Lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure requirements are met. Express oneself and communicate with others verbally at an advanced level; recognizing that verbal communication is more than just language - it includes tone, style and structure. Ability to manage shifting workload priorities with aggressive timelines.

  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field, and
  • You demonstrate experience in at least 3-5 years in a BSC role leading projects and designing solutions preferably in Treasury space.. It's an asset if you have experience working on Financial applications.
