Rogers Digital is seeking a Design System Specialist, eager to join our growing team. This is an individual contributor role, directly supporting our Design Systems projects, while collaborating with designer peers, product owners and developers.
You will partner with product, engineering, and the design team to continually evolve and improve our design languages and product experience. Conceptualize and share new ideas wherever necessary for developing a global product design system.
You will ensure consistency across all Rogers digital experiences including website, native app, website, e-commerce and more. Participate in ongoing reviews to help maintain flexibility and drive adoption and usage of design patterns and components.
What you?ll be doing:
? Define design language and design system including patterns, frameworks, components, micro interactions, and layouts.
? Act as liaison to provide feedback and ensure design integrity of projects between design teams, product teams, leadership, developers and project managers
? Contribute to the documentation and publishing robust guidelines for internal team consumption and correct implementation of design patterns and components.
? Define guidelines and best practices for rich content such as a set of common photography sizes, video length, and compression, players and more.
? Maintain and evolve the UI kit for multiple brands, micro-interactions library, and templates for both internal teams and external agencies
? Work with Design Systems team to provide regular communication of changes and new patterns and components for consumers of Design Systems.
? Continually measure how design patterns are performing and iterate to improve experiences.
? Invest in building relationships and trust with stakeholders, peers and working groups.
? Must understand front end coding principles and constraints and must be able to communicate with engineering teams clearly.
What you have:
? Four plus years of UX design and visual design experience
? Experience on large-scale systems or enterprise platforms
? Strong visual design talent and typography skills
? In-depth knowledge and experience with Sketch and InVision Design System Manager.
? Critical thinker with ability to solve problems in creative approaches
? Ability to work independently and seek stakeholder engagement proactively
?
