WSP is currently seeking a Senior BIM Modeler to join our dynamic Structural Modeling team, located at our downtown Ottawa office. Reporting to the BIM Manager the successful candidate will be working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment, requiring them to help manage team members modeling innovative design solutions from inception through to construction.
  • Develop and model building elements using Revit software
  • In time, be willing to take responsibility for other team members
  • Be able to accept ownership of specific tasks within a team environment
  • Coordinate with other project disciplines
  • Support established BIM standards and modeling best practices
  • Create Revit families

  • In-depth experience modeling with Revit for a medium to largely sized engineering or architectural firm
  • At least 8 years of BIM experience in an engineering or architecture environment
  • In-depth knowledge of Revit families and templates
  • Strong awareness of interoperability of BIM modeling and design tools
  • Understanding of Dynamo scripting
  • Promote and support practices that improve production efficiency and effectiveness
  • Have knowledge of interoperability of BIM modeling and design tools
  • Creative at problem-solving
  • Customer Service oriented with commitment to working within a team environment
  • Superior interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Strong, self-motivated work ethic with the ability to be effective and timely while providing consistent follow-up
