    As a Senior Bookkeeper and Administrator in Corporate Insolvency your responsibilities will include:
  • Responding promptly to initial contact from debtors by telephone, email, etc.
  • Assisting with managing corporate insolvency accounts
  • Banking, including opening and closing of accounts, reconciliations, deposits,
  • Ensuring full compliance with the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and directives in the delivery of service
  • Building positive working relationships with debtors, referral sources, the Office of Superintendent (OSB) and all other stakeholders
  • Preparing client billings and assist in the maintenance of accounts receivable and work in progress ledgers
  • Liaising with the Hub that handles all of the back office administrative functions
  • Communicating with and responding to the Canada Revenue Agency and OSB
  • Documenting client situations clearly to facilitate subsequent date processing in the back office
  • Handling communications with suppliers, utilities, vendors, employees, landlords, etc., where applicable
  • Assisting in the training of more junior colleagues
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
  • Attending training, team meetings and firm events as required
  • Ability to travel to the various firm offices or clients in the surrounding areas

  • Solid bookkeeping experience
  • 3+ years in administration
  • Independent, intuitive thinker with the ability to apply accounting skills and business acumen in a variety of unique challenging, one-off, real time assignments
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge or experience with corporate insolvency assignments is of benefit
  • Effective communication skills, both verbally as well as written
  • Strong decision making skills
