AV Group NB Inc. is currently recruiting for the following position: Spare in our Steam and Recovery Department.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Chief Power Engineer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe operations and maintenance activities in power & recovery, and recaust to achieve maximum production while meeting health & safety, environment, cost and quality objectives in compliance with corporate principles & guidelines.
Responsibilities

  • Performing tests in the liquor cycle
  • Ensuring smelt flow from the Recovery Boiler spouts
  • Checking the green liquor Clarification System
  • Field checks in the Recaust area
  • Assisting in the Recovery Boiler operation
  • Assisting the team in operational requirements
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

  • A minimum of a 4 th class power engineer license (SOPEC Required)
  • Previous pulp and paper experience considered an asset
  • Flexible and able to adjust to changing priorities
