We are working with our client to hire a Senior Engineer/Project Manager for the Urban Development section of their Toronto office with 15 or more years of experience.

Their ideal candidate possesses strong communication skills, is a self-starter with a high sense of responsibility and is motivated to have a successful career within a dynamic group environment.

Duties:

Your role will involve all facets of land development engineering including, preliminary engineering and feasibility studies, detailed design, construction related services, contract administration and business development all related to site plan and subdivision development projects.

As a member of their urban development section, you will assemble and manage project teams to complete project work as well as pursue new project work. In doing so, the role will also include providing technical contributions and direction, providing quality control and quality assurance reviews and participating in the training and development of younger staff within the urban development section.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in civil engineering
  • Must be licensed as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) within the province of Ontario.
  • Demonstrates superior English Communication Skills both oral and written.
  • Project management (PMP) designation considered an asset.
  • Minimum of 15 years progressive experience in urban development engineering. Consulting industry experience preferred.
  • Possess a strong ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with staff and clients.
  • Experience or aptitude for meeting timelines and budgets, proposal writing, client development and other skills appropriate to consulting engineering.
  • Proven, advanced level Excel skills and a proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Proven capabilities in writing reports and other technical documents.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
