Office Assistant – Bilingual

Job Title: Bilingual Office Assistant (Contract position)
Location: Fredericton
Salary range: To be negotiated based on skills and experience

Public Legal Education and Information Service of New Brunswick (PLEIS-NB) is a non-profit, charitable organization with a mandate to educate the public about the law. We are seeking a bilingual office assistant to undertake a variety of duties including: 

  • General office tasks such as photocopying, booking meetings, and file management
  • Answering the telephones and politely responding to inquiries from the public
  • Mailing out publications around the province
  • Organizing the storage facility and track requests for resources in our structured electronic database
  • Posting announcements on our websites and social media
  • Other duties as required

Required Skills & Experiences:

  • Training and/or experience in a busy office environment
  • Proven ability to deal effectively with people on the phone
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Experience working with a database and generating reports
  • Attention to detail and sound organizational / time-management skills
