On their behalf, we are seeking a Quality Engineer to join the team in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
As a Quality Engineer, you will be a leader for quality and monitor, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the quality management system, manufacturing processes and product quality. Throughout each program you will review manufacturing specifications and engineering documents to ensure the manufacturing process meets customer standards. You will manage quality processes working with a cross functional team to improve performance on programs. With your keen eye for detail, you'll conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to ensure customer requirements are met. In this role, you will have the ability to develop and implement processes, driving the quality culture and ensuring the quality of work done for customers.
As the ideal candidate, you have 5+ years of experience coupled with your Engineering or Technologist degree in a relevant field. Experience working in a precision manufacturing environment for the defense or aerospace industries and/or experience working with advanced composites materials would be considered an asset. Direct working experience in ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or Transport Canada quality systems is required as well as your Certified Quality Designation. You are a problem solver who uses strong communication skills to collaborate with your customer and people across the organization to identify and resolve quality issues. As a team player, you identify opportunities to mentor others and enjoy building relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You are known for your focus on continuous improvement and use your experience to foresee issues before they arise.
Due to the nature of the role, successful applicants must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian Government Security Clearance.
