Assistant Controller

The successful candidate will come with high-energy and enthusiasm, a good business acumen, can multi-task, willing to roll up their sleeves and be involved with the business operations in addition to acting as mentor/coach to the staff
Duties:
  • Performing monthly financial close function for each operating location
  • Monthly forecast of the operating entities P&L
  • Reconciliation of general ledger accounts
  • Preparation of annual budget data and performing monthly budgetary performance analysis
  • Developing and analyzing current financial projection data
  • Performing managerial financial analysis
  • Rate analysis and review
  • Managing the flow of data from remote facilities
  • Evaluating and assessing operating results and activities including analysis of the budget to actual results and presenting cost reduction recommendations to management
  • Managing the overall accounting functions, G/L, A/R, Billing, and Payroll
  • Special projects as assigned


Qualifications:
  • CPA designation or enrolled in final stages
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience ( Big 4 experience preferably)
  • solid knowledge of GAAP and Federal/Provincial tax regulation
  • excellent communication with a dynamic personality
